In this step, I'll show you how to log into your 1&1 Hosting account. Once logged in, I'll walk you through setting up and configuring your email accounts.
Log Into Your Hosting
- Go to https://admin.1and1.com
- Enter your Customer ID and password. Your customer ID was created for you when you signed up for your hosting account and can be found at the top of your confirmation email. The password will be the same one that you chose when purchased hosting.

- You should see your package listed. Click on your hosting package (1&1 Home Package).
- You've logged into your Hosting Control Panel. Everything that has to do with your hosting can be found here. There are also a lot of great features in here. After you get all done with your site, you should come back to this and try out some of them!
Set Up Your Email Accounts
- Click on "Email" from within the Control Panel
- Since you haven't created any email accounts yet, you'll see a nice informational starter page. Click on the "Create" button
- You can create a full email account or you can create an email address that will forward to another address. You can do this by selecting either "Mailbox" or "Forward" from the "Type" dropdown list. In the screenshot below, I chose "Mailbox" and elected to turn on virus protection and anti-spam.
- In the screenshot below, I selected "Forward" from the dropdown list and entered the mailbox I wanted the new email to forward to.
- For either option, press the OK button and you'll see an email account overview page. This includes information on which ingoing/outgoing email servers and there's a link that will show you how to configure Microsoft Outlook. Click on the "Return to Overview" button to get back to the main email page.
- All your email accounts will be listed on the Email Overview page. You can change/view the settings of any email account at any time by clicking on the email.
